If you are TDI Extended range diver or Normoxic Trimix Diver, you can have the pleasure to visit this submarine, laying 55m maximum depth off St Paul’s Bay, Malta. After had been serving and got damaged in WW2, the HMS Stubborn has been scuttled for sonar target practice. Therefore she is intact, no penetration possible, but you can have a beautiful view of her in the clear blue water.

Currents are usually not too strong around the HMS Stubborn, however its better if you stay close to the shotline. While ascending and descending, keep an eye in the blue, for the pelagic fish. Tuna, mobula ray even mola mola can be spotted if it is your lucky day.

Look out for hermit crabs, moray eel on the wreck, check out the open hatches on the top. Plan a good 15-25 minutes bottom time, that is usually enough to have a good look around.
