Courses and Dive Bookings

Booking courses or dives with us requires a minimum of 200 EUR deposit up to a maximum of 30% of the total booking to secure a space.

Full payment will be requested for the booked days on the first diving day.

You can pay the deposit by bank transfer. Details are included in your quotation/invoice.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Any other bookings are subject to individual contractual agreements. Terms and conditions on those bookings may vary.

Changes by the customer

If you need to change your course dates, we will do our best to transfer deposits to the new dates.

Any costs incurred will be taken off the deposit.

If you cancel your course or diving entirely or in part, we will review individual circumstances to assess a potential refund. In general, however, we cannot refund deposits if changes have been made within 30 days in high season May-October or 14 days in low season November-April.

Changes made by us

Should we need to change course dates or alter components of the course, we will endeavour to (1) give as much notice as possible and (2) offer a date convenient to you.

We are not responsible for inclement weather conditions and other natural phenomena. We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover these circumstances. The safety of our staff and our guests is our highest priority. Always recommended to have one or two spare days available especially in low season when the weather can change suddenly.

Courses and Certification Fees

PLEASE NOTE – you are responsible for providing proof of course prerequisites. This includes, but is not limited to, existing certification and/or dive numbers and is required by the start date of your course. Pre-requisites are listed with each course. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about these.

Our course and training prices are based on a day rate and set dive numbers. Certification depends on meeting the respective course’s performance requirements and may require additional dives. That is why we list certification fees separately on our quotations. We charge for additional dives depending on the level of course dive. If the performance requirements are not met within the time available, we may offer options including additional dives at a later date.

Instructor-level courses do not include certification or registration fees. You pay these directly to the training agency. We can advise the amount required.

Medical Conditions

Each student diver must complete a medical questionnaire at the start of their course. If you are unsure about this or believe you require a physician’s sign-off, please advise us beforehand. We can sometimes organise this locally, but it will take time away from your course.

Instructor trainees must provide a medical form signed by a physician regardless of their answers to the individual questions.

Balance Payments

Course and dive balance payments are due at the beginning of your diving with us unless otherwise agreed. Additional charges for gases and consumables can be settled at the end of the course. You can pay by bank transfer or in cash. We accept Euro cash. Card payments are subject to extra charges.

Insurance

Make sure you have insurance covering your dive activities. DAN, Aqua Med, Dive Assure are the recommended and reliable insurance companies.

Gozo and Malta have hyperbaric treatment facilities, but treatment may rely on providing a funding source, i.e. insurance or credit card, before any treatment. Please ensure that you have adequate coverage.
