TDI Mixed gas CCR aka rEvo MOD2 course up to 60m
The next level in your training is using Trimix as diluent with a minimum of 16% oxygen and a maximum of 30m equivalent narcotic depth.
What will you learn:
Planning CCR dives to 60 m with at least two (or more) stages. Gain a deeper understanding of your rebreather and how to recover it from different failures.
Learn more about hypoxia and hyperoxia, and polish up your MOD1 skills to a level which helps you safely execute deeper dives with longer decompression.
This is the level you probably started CCR diving for. We will make sure that you have full confidence in your skills by the end of the course to enjoy fully diving to these depths.
Prerequisites:
- TDI Air Diluent Deco diver or Helitrox CCR diver (or equivalent)
- Minimum 50 hours on your unit
- 18 years old
How long does it take?
The course is a minimum of 5 days (minimum 5 dives plus theory sessions). If you don’t have OC Trimix experience, then the course is 6 days Extra days will be arranged if necessary to meet all performance requirements.
Please make sure you have adequate skill level and buoyancy control for a MOD1 diver before arriving. The prerequisites are minimum hours. Participating in the course doesn’t mean automatically getting certification.

Course price:
250EUR/day incluing cylinders (stages, dil and O2 tanks, suit bottle) plus learning materials and certification (110EUR)
Gasses, sorb and equipment rental as per pricelist.
We will need to go over to Gozo or use a boat to reach the necessary depth, there are different options, depending on your budget.
Necessary equipment:
1. A complete closed-circuit rebreather configured within the manufacturer’s
recommendations; this should be the student’s personal unit.
2. One (1) CCR mixed gas computer and 1 backup OC/CCR computer for bailout in the
event of a system failure.
3. Bailout gas cylinders (minimum 2) with the appropriate capacity for the planned dive,
each equipped with a first and second stage and SPG.
4. Mask, backup mask, fins, and a suitable line-cutting device.
5. Slate and pencil.
6. Reel with a minimum of 60 Metres/200 Feet of line.
7. Reel with a minimum of 30 Metres/100 Feet of line.
8. Two lift bags/delayed surface marker buoys (DSMB’s) with adequate lift and size for the
dive environment. Required for open water environments only.
9. Exposure suit adequate for the open water environment where training will be
conducted.
Don’t have your own unit yet? At this level you should. I offer several package options from rEvo rebreathers, all of which can be found in the shop. Delivery time is about 6 weeks so plan ahead!
